The Flying Kettle is a dyeworks and fiber studio dedicated to providing wonderfully fresh and playful yarns and fiber to inspire your creative inner child. All fleece is kettle-dyed, right in my own kitchen using low-impact dyes, in fun, juicy color ways like Tomayto Tomahto, Toot Sweet, and Hopscotch, that are a blast to knit, spin, and felt. Every inch of yarn is spun personally by me on my trusty Lendrum portable spinning wheel. Rest assured that I purchase my wool only from farms I know and trust for the level of care and respect they give the land and their animals.
If you're coming to the area and interested in a studio visit, drop me a line. Most days you'll find me with Sadie P. (my mongrel child) in the studio, pumping the treadle to whatever's newest on the iPod or splattering dye on myself. Fresh coffee's always on the stove. ;)
